Plain-English definitions for the terminology used across Stadium View.
- 1X2
- A betting market where you pick either the home win (1), draw (X), or away win (2).
- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- American Odds
- Odds displayed as a positive or negative number; positive indicates profit on a $100 bet, negative shows amount needed to win $100.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to teams to make the match more even, removing the draw and using half‑goal or whole‑goal lines.
- Back
- To bet on a specific outcome to happen, the opposite of a lay bet.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- A feature that lets you combine different markets from the same match into a single custom bet.
- Bonus Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings derived from it.
- Bookmaker
- A company that sets odds and accepts bets on sporting events.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle a bet before the event ends, either locking in a profit or cutting a loss.
- Decimal Odds
- Odds expressed as a single number that includes the stake; multiply your stake by this number to calculate total return.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, increasing your chance of winning.
- Edge
- An advantage you have over the bookmaker’s odds, usually calculated through analysis or perceived mispricing.
- Fractional Odds
- Odds shown as a fraction; the numerator shows profit relative to the denominator (your stake).
- In-Play
- Another term for live betting, referring to wagers made after the match has started.
- Juice
- The commission a bookmaker adds to the odds, usually reflected in the total implied probability exceeding 100%.
- Lay
- To bet against an outcome occurring, essentially acting as the bookmaker in a betting exchange.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline
- A straight bet on which team will win the match, with odds reflecting the perceived strength difference.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored will be more or less than a set number.
- Parlay
- A type of accumulator that combines two or more bets into one wager, with higher odds and greater risk.
- Point Spread
- A handicap applied to the favored team to create balanced odds for both sides.
- Rollover
- The total amount of bets you must place, often expressed as a multiple of the bonus, before funds become withdrawable.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a single bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving you an expected edge.
